The challenge
Day-one idle time
Monday-morning queues
Handoffs without proof
If nothing changes: A slow first day delays productive work and training, and kits without a proof-of-receipt make later recovery and audits harder.
Stage onboarding kits in advance and let new hires collect them on arrival
How it works
IT stages the kit
The pre-imaged laptop and accessories are loaded into a locker and linked to the new hire.
New hire receives a code
A pickup code is sent through HR onboarding or email before day one.
Collect and confirm
The employee collects the kit, and the asset assignment is recorded automatically.

Common questions
How do smart lockers help with employee onboarding?
IT can prepare a complete kit ahead of time and assign it to a locker compartment. The new hire collects it with a code or badge whenever they arrive, so provisioning no longer depends on a technician being free at that moment.
Can pickup codes be sent automatically from HR systems?
Signifi's API library supports integration with HR and ITSM workflows, so a start-date event can trigger a pickup notification. The exact setup depends on your systems and is configured during deployment.
Does the employee sign for the equipment?
The pickup itself is the record. SignifiVISION logs who opened which compartment and when, and that event can update the asset assignment in your ITSM as proof of receipt.
