The challenge
Queues at peak times
Limited counter hours
Overdue and missing devices
If nothing changes: Students without working devices fall behind, and loaner fleets shrink each term through unreturned equipment.
Let students check out and swap devices whenever they need them
How it works
Student scans their ID
Campus card, RFID or QR authentication identifies the student.
Collect or swap
A charged loaner is released, or a faulty device is dropped for repair.
Track and remind
Returns are logged and overdue devices trigger reminders.

Common questions
Can students use their campus ID card at the locker?
Signifi lockers support RFID card, PIN, QR and biometric authentication, so campus ID cards can typically be used to identify students, subject to your card technology and integration.
Where should loaner lockers be placed on campus?
Common locations are libraries, residence halls and student centers, where students already go and where access extends beyond help desk hours. Signifi lockers can also be installed outdoors with a retrofit kit.
Are the lockers accessible?
Yes. Signifi solutions meet ADA and Section 508 accessibility standards, with features such as audio guidance and lower chassis options for wheelchair users.
